Well, time for a hat...

I have a wonderful Reiki practitioner right now and am going to twice-monthly sessions.  I truly love her quiet, sweet home office, which is warm and friendly, with a view of a persimmon tree.  I leave these sessions greatly comforted in mind and spirit.  The practitioner definitely noticed the hair loss today and very kindly said that she believed it would come back.

I am trying hairbands right now and they help make my hair look a little more full.  I also try to air-dry my hair and try to get it to curl, but really, the natural waviness is just about gone.  My doctor told me that once Imuran began to build up completely in my system, I would have more hair loss and nausea, but these would slow down.  I hope so.  I still look like I have a somewhat normal head of hair, but people who know me, know that I had a heck of a lot more hair before all this.

Still, the best thing is that my actual physical self feels great, which is the point of all this!  What's a little hair when I am getting stronger and feeling better, a bit more every day?

So here is one pattern from Gilda's Club, the support group Gene Wilder founded after his wife, Gilda Radner, died from ovarian cancer:

I think that will be a good start for me.  Since I knit very slowly, by the time I get finished with this, I will either need a chemo cap or not!  It still would be a nice winter hat.

It is time for me to rest before picking up Thistle from school.  Thank you for visiting my blog today.
