As life begins to take a good shape again for me, and the naescent writing groups are starting to form, and as I continue to feel better, dance, and sing, I have one thing only to say to lupus:
Good advice for us all--we need strong survivors in this society who know how to impart life lessons to others. Changing a consciousness takes time and effort, but it is worth the work, believe me.
My name is Joan McMillan and this blog is, as Emily Dickinson says, "my letter to the world." I am currently working on a nonfiction book about the murder of a young woman, Asha Veil, born Joanna Dragunowicz, and her unborn daughter, Anina, on September 9, 2006. My book is meant to honor her life and illuminate the need to create a safer world for women and children.
