Thistle got stung by a bee at school today. I called on CG who has come to help.
She has a badly swollen bite site and is so cranky. CG called the resource nurse for her pediatrician and she advised ice and kid's Tylenol. I had been icing it and holding her for many hours, so I was grateful for the help.
She is falling asleep now,but still seems restless and her cheeks are so red.
Amazing...I have never dealt with a bee sting, with a kid, before!
My name is Joan McMillan and this blog is, as Emily Dickinson says, "my letter to the world." I am currently working on a nonfiction book about the murder of a young woman, Asha Veil, born Joanna Dragunowicz, and her unborn daughter, Anina, on September 9, 2006. My book is meant to honor her life and illuminate the need to create a safer world for women and children.
