My dad has now been finally moved to his assisted living and seems to be adjusting okay. I appreciate that his wife and stepdaughter found him a very good place. He lives in Oklahoma and I do hope to get out there soon and see him. I wish he could have been cared for at home, but he seems to like his new digs quite well (my dad has the means to be in excellent assisted living, so he is luckier than most).
Thinking of him tonight, wishing I could be with him.
My name is Joan McMillan and this blog is, as Emily Dickinson says, "my letter to the world." I am currently working on a nonfiction book about the murder of a young woman, Asha Veil, born Joanna Dragunowicz, and her unborn daughter, Anina, on September 9, 2006. My book is meant to honor her life and illuminate the need to create a safer world for women and children.
