My name is Joan McMillan and this blog is, as Emily Dickinson says, "my letter to the world." I am currently working on a nonfiction book about the murder of a young woman, Asha Veil, born Joanna Dragunowicz, and her unborn daughter, Anina, on September 9, 2006. My book is meant to honor her life and illuminate the need to create a safer world for women and children.

Leapin' Lizards--Bobness Hits the Big Time!
One of my favorite bloggers, Bob over at The Unbearable Bobness of Being, has got himself interviewed on CNN, and all for attributing the simple phrase "lizards of Satan" to Sarah Palin, as a joke--but a joke that people BELIEVED. Mr. Strega pointed out that a major reason why people believed this is because it's so close to what Palin and her cohorts actually say.
Rock on, TUBOB!
Well, I have to go back to a deep discussion with my offspring pertaining to a Boy George lyric--"Mom, is it karma chameleon or caramel chameleon?"
