Sorry to have vanished into the ether for a few days; I had a lot of projects to do for Thistle and school: getting ready for the school music concert, which went off very well, and a family project for kindergarten (a display of photos and such on a special shelf in the classroom, and a talk with the kids in their circle time). I am sure going to miss the kindergarten experience at her school, which is a very special place.
In other small news, I had a visitor to my yard: a wild turkey!! Here is a picture of him:
My name is Joan McMillan and this blog is, as Emily Dickinson says, "my letter to the world." I am currently working on a nonfiction book about the murder of a young woman, Asha Veil, born Joanna Dragunowicz, and her unborn daughter, Anina, on September 9, 2006. My book is meant to honor her life and illuminate the need to create a safer world for women and children.
