I would like to amend something I said in my last post regarding forgiveness. It would be nice to hear from people who have hurt me, but some folks really do not show they are sorry by saying it, and talk is sometimes cheap. When behavior changes, that can also be a call for forgiveness.
My old writing group, sans two members, met today for coffee and then lunch, and it was so, so fun to connect again. They said the group is taking a break. It was really like old times to sit and write, though sans the person I wished was there.
My name is Joan McMillan and this blog is, as Emily Dickinson says, "my letter to the world." I am currently working on a nonfiction book about the murder of a young woman, Asha Veil, born Joanna Dragunowicz, and her unborn daughter, Anina, on September 9, 2006. My book is meant to honor her life and illuminate the need to create a safer world for women and children.
