I would like to give a link to an article regarding the terrible earthquake in Peru.
Local Red Cross organizations in my area, and national ones, are sending supplies and help to Peru right now. The article I have given provides phone numbers you can call to make a donation. I took an extensive Red Cross training course with my daughter Kat last semester, so I have a special fondness for this organization (having been through two major earthquakes and years of wild weather in Santa Cruz, I figured it wouldn't hurt me to have some first aid training).

I am deeply saddened by this event. I know how terrifying a large earthquake can be, though we had nothing near the widespread death and destruction in Santa Cruz during the 1989 Loma Prieta quake.
In local news, there has been a bit of talk on the Ben Lomond Topix board about people's frustration that it has been nearly a year since Asha and her daughter died, there has yet to be an arrest in the case,
and there is now some speculation going on. I am extremely sorry there is so little to report right now.
Please know that I will update whatever I know about the murder and the McClish sentencing as soon as I know anything at all, and I intend to be at the McClish sentencing on September 7th.
