Another thing my friend asked is if I will still have a kidney biopsy. This would be to check the extent of scarring in the kidneys from lupus. I will have one eventually if my kidneys do not stop spilling even the small amount of blood which they are doing right now. My sister had the procedure done ten years before she died in 2008 and her recovery was very difficult. I am happy to say that the procedure and recovery times have vastly improved.
I think at this point, if a procedure can be made not to hurt, I am less afraid of it. I really am most afraid of pain.
